Irvine Radical InfoShop

run out of a closet, so we can all escape the closets we’re trapped in…

The Irvine Radical InfoShop (IRIS) is a relatively new and informal project based at UC-Irvine but open to the wider Orange County community.  We work to fight capitalism, imperialism, fascism, authoritarianism, patriarchy, heteronormativity, transphobia, racism, white supremacy, xenophobia, ableism, and all other forms of exploitation, oppression, and domination.  We actively support an organizing model of “one no, many yeses”, and stand in solidarity with peoples in revolt in Oaxaca, Palestine, and all over the world.

IRIS has a large selection of zines, pamphlets, and other materials which may be reproduced as needed (see “Library” tab), so if you are hosting an event and would like some radical literature to be there, we can help you out! We also have a great number of books, DVDs, and other resources — unfortunately, for the time being, we lack a physical space (beyond a box in a closet), but contact us and we can maybe arrange something. We also have some limited access to printing, in case you have a radical print job in the works.

If you have an interest in working to build the IRIS project, or have money, supplies or other resources to donate, please contact irvineinfoshop (A)

Appendix (A)
If you’re paranoid (or as we call it, living in a police state) we have a hush account, OCunderground (A), which is PGP encrypted. Please protect yourself and use random hush email addresses at public computers, in short practice good security culture. On our end, we will do everything we can to keep the cops out of our computers, but always assume that they’re reading everything you send us, so take steps on your end so nothing can be traced back. Even if you’re just emailing us to say Hi, you can never be too careful.
